Missing?
I've been hibernating! Life is whizzing by, as usual!
I have made up my swimming hours and have now been taking my own classes. 2-4 year olds one morning a week and school kids in the afternoons. Tiring but refreshing! Finding I do have some patience, which I hate to say, is sadly disappearing when it comes to my kids! Don't know why I let them push all my buttons.
We had a great week away with old friends in Yarrawonga over Easter. It has been more than 5 years (before kids) since we had a holiday away with them. It was really ace to reconnect, get to know their kids + spend quality time together! Lots of fun chats, card games + the odd game of scrabble. (Rude word Scrabble made us girls giggle to the point of nearly peeing ourselves when the boys went off fishing!!) The swimming pool was too cold to swim, but that didn't keep the kids out. They shivered + bombed into the pool, kicked around on the boogie boards and did big splashes. Unfortunately, Isla got a cold from the 1st day and was sniffly all week. However that did not stop her singing Abba at 4am and waking the house up!! She watched Mama Mia about 6 times a day - no wonder she knows all the words!
We made a trip to Werribee Zoo - 4 Mums + 11 kids! It was a challenge but lots of fun!
The second week was spent chilling out, watching movies, nursing some colds before 2nd term of school + kinder crept up on us.
I'm organising the kinder trivia night in a few months then the outdoor stalls at the market day. Throw in a photo shoot or two. Think I need to be any busier?
I'll store up some energy this weekend with a girls weekend away - shopping, wineries, market + great company. My poor hubby is away to Singapore Sunday for 6 days and will miss my birthday - booohoooo. At least I'll have some snore-free sleeps!!!
Bye for now.

Busy Weekend
It's been a busy fortnight, swimming, taking a squillion photos, and being mum. Hubby is away again, this time for 9 nights, so I've been having really bad sleeps. I stupidly mentioned to the kids that I was missing him and his warm snuggles in bed. So for the next 2 nights, Isla crept into my bed around 3am. The 1st night it started off peaceful enough, little strokes on the side of my face, kisses, cuddles, but when I asked her to pop back through to her bed, she had a real meltdown - as a result I was screamed at, kicked in the back several times and had to carry the little madam back to her bed + close the door. Goodness me, what a hullabaloo! At least on the 2nd night, she was still a bit dozy, so she didn't kick up too much of a stink when I placed her back into her own bed!
Friday night I was lucky enough to see Billy Elliot The Musical. What a fabulous show + endless amounts of energy from Michael Dameski who played Billy.
Up early on Saturday morning to take Isla to see her favourite singer, Justine Clarke, who was performing a one off show to support NETS, the Newborn Emergency Transport Service. Justine is about 16wks pregnant but still managed to hop hippity hop around the stage with her infectious energy + gorgeous smile. We had a chance to meet Justine after the show + Isla shyly spoke to her then briefly turned around for a quick snap!
Thankfully there was a quiet house on Saturday night so I got stuck in to my Book Group novel, Mao's Last Dancer. I managed the first section whilst listening to some chill out tunes on my iphone. First time I have sat down to a good book in months! Just hope I finish it in time for next Thursday's meeting!
Jack was off to soccer this morning where he ran, and ran, and ran some more! As with all young kids playing soccer, they swarm around the ball, shoving teammates out the way, kicking the ball the wrong way. It's very cute to watch them. Sometimes they even managed to score a goal!

Busy Bee That's Me!
A fabulous birthday dinner with 22 of your besties on Valentine's Day is always going to be a great night, so we more than happily assisted our friend in celebrating his 38th birthday at a scrummy Greek restaurant in Brunswick St, Saturday night. My jetlagged husband claimed our mutual friend of 10 years was his Best Buddy, so I was DD whilst he enjoyed copious amounts of great white + red wines, many of which were supplied by the birthday boy and many, many more by O who works for a very well know winery. (Great friend to have!!!) The conversations flowed just as fast as the wine hit the back of folks' throats whilst we were serenaded by a hilarious guitarist for a good while (all ladies with blonde hair were his faves). Delicious food + great company = a brilliant night. Thank goodness I didn't drink because next morning I had to assume the role of Soccer Mom and take Jack to his 9am class - jetlagged/hungover husband just couldn't make it! Isla was left to her own devices for a while before she climbed into bed with Daddy + had another 2 hours sleep - alright for some, huh?
The rest of the day I spent photoshopping a tonne of product images for an online baby shop. Right up until bedtime at 1am! Ouch, long day. Followed by another one today. My better half left at 5am for an early flight, I started my swimming classes, did kinder + school pick up, squeezed in some more editing, night time swimming presentation and just time for a quick glass of wine before I collapse into bed. Night night, zzzzzzzzzzz

Lazy Weekend
This is my first blog and a very warm welcome to anyone that happens upon it!
I'm a mum of 2 gorgeously vibrant children. Jack is 5, sporty, imaginative, and a caring wee fella who started his 1st day of school this month. Isla, 3 has a strong personality, in a wee fairy dancing world of her own who raced into kinder!
They keep me busy as I try to transform into Supermama! I hope to start up a photography business. I have a couple of clients who give me products to shoot for their online websites.
I have also recently passed my AustSwim Teacher of Swimming + Water Safety exam and am about to commence my personal development hours required to begin teaching young children how to stay safe whilst in the water.
Busy times ahead in our household. My husband has a full on job with lots of interstate and overseas travel, so a lot of the time things are put on hold. He did make my morning this morning though. After returning from a business trip in Singapore around 9am, he appeared with a lovely fragrant bunch of flowers and proceeded to make my favourite poached eggs on turkish bread! He is now snoring his head off in bed! How romantic, huh???
Think I'll go wake him - kids need to run off some steam at the park.
Bye for now,
